What images are in this directory SL-63-i386--boot.iso Example: SL-63-i386-2012-08-02-boot.iso This is the network install and rescue image. This image is designed to be burned onto a CD. You then boot your computer off the CD SL-63-i386--Install-DVD.iso Example: SL-63-i386-2012-08-02-Install-DVD1.iso This DVD is used for installs. This DVD does not contain the entire distribution. It only contains the same packags as TUV had in their install DVD. It does not have any updates or source rpms on them. Install-DVD is designed to be burned onto a DVD. You then boot your computer off install-DVD. SL-63-i386--Everything-DVD1.iso SL-63-i386--Everything-DVD2.iso Example: SL-63-i386-2012-08-02-Everything-DVD1.iso Example: SL-63-i386-2012-08-02-Everything-DVD2.iso These two dvd's contain the entire base distribution. They do not have any updates or source rpms on them. DVD1 is designed to be burned onto a DVD. You then boot your computer off DVD1. You will need both DVD1 and DVD2 for a basic install. SL-63-i386--LiveCD.iso SL-63-i386--LiveDVD.iso SL-63-i386--LiveMiniCD.iso Example: SL-63-i386-2012-08-08-LiveCD.iso Example: SL-63-i386-2012-08-08-LiveDVD.iso Example: SL-63-i386-2012-08-08-LiveMiniCD.iso These are the CD and DVD live images. LiveCD and LiveMiniCD are designed to be burned onto a CD. You then boot your computer off that CD. LiveDVD is designed to be burned onto a DVD. You then boot your computer off that DVD. You are able to install SL6 onto your computer from either LiveCD, LiveMiniCD or LiveDVD.
